Episode 37
Boosts Update: Holiday Homework
Let's have a look at what's changed in the way you can boost, comment or super comment in modern podcast apps.
This is an update episode, and so connects directly with a previous episode of Podcasting 2.0 in Practice.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about then I recommend you listen to the Podcasting 2.0 in Practice course. This is a podcast series that looks at just one 2.0 feature – also known as a tag – at a time and teaches you what it is, why it’s good, and how to make it work. The course focuses specifically on how each feature can help podcasters with discovery, interactivity or monetisation – or a combination of the three.

Claire Waite Brown:And if you don't know what I'm talking about, then as usual, I recommend you listen to the Podcasting 2.0 in Practice complete course. This is a podcast series that looks at just one 2.0 feature at a time, teaching you what it is, why it's good, and how to make it work.
The module on boosts was featured on episodes 21 to 23. The instructions I gave for making a comment or super comment in TrueFans in the boosts homework episode episode 23 remain the same.
However, it is worth noting that as well as clicking on the Comment tab, there is now also a speech bubble icon under the Play or Resume button that you can also click on. Boosting on Fountain looks a little different than Described in episode 23.
In the play screen for that episode, you will see a Like button and a Boost button. Below the Play button, click on Boost and follow the instructions as given in episode 23.
You can also click on the speech bubble icon at the bottom of the screen to see boosts that have been made by other people to this episode.
You are also able to see boosts made to that episode in that episode's home screen where we located the Transcript button In episode 35 holiday homework transcripts, you can see all the boosts a podcast has received across all episodes by.
